A great organization In Grand Rapids, Michigan, called Exodus Place is helping people who do not have homes to find housing, jobs, and resources that they need in order to get back on their feet.
Exodus Place is a transitional housing center that takes individuals out of either homelessness or is a place for them to stay right after incarceration where they’re reentering the community. If people find themselves in a situation where they don’t have any place to live, or they’re dealing with addictions, they can be a part of and work with the programs provided by Exodus Place.
Exodus Place is a task force made up of police officers, firefighters, social workers and a peer support specialist. It was created to last a few months during the height of the pandemic, but has stuck around to continue to help those living on the streets. Their mission is to provide development and rapid re-housing for vulnerable men who are experiencing homelessness.
