California Community Foundation Helping LA Area Residents Affected by Fires

The LA area fires have been on everyone’s mind for the past weeks as the images are coming in of the devastation.  Many people and organizations want to help and be able to make some kind of impact for the people who have been affected. One organization that is doing a great job is The California Community Foundation (CCF).  The CCF has raised $50 million from more than 36,000 donors across Los Angeles – and the world – to support the most vulnerable and impacted by the region’s devastating wildfires.

The funds raised have allowed CCF to provide over $20 million in grants to more than 130 organizations across the LA County area.  The funds have helped families, workers, and small businesses.

Thousands of people have been displaced from their homes, jobs, schools, and places of worship.   The money from CCF will be used for the rebuilding process.  It provides direct financial support, legal support, housing assistance, and small business stabilization.

CCF has served the Los Angeles communities since 1915.  It manages $2.3 billion in assets and oversees 1900 charitable foundations, funds, and legacies.
