Mercy Lab Foundation wishes to promulgate impactful giving. We define this as philanthropy using interventions with objective, measurable outcomes and scientific, systematic data-collection. Mercy Lab Foundation’s mission is to use the flexibility of a non-profit charitable foundation to test potential interventions for difficult social problems that may be advanced as larger-scale interventions, or academic or public research. We believe that the philanthropic sector of society can provide solutions to impact the world through smart, sustainable giving. We further wish to lead by example, demonstrating that partnerships between philanthropic organizations, social scientists, and social entrepreneurs can provide innovative solutions to societal problems.
