A young teenager from New Jersey is on the hottest names in new board games! Fourteen-year-old Persy Arcement invented an ice-cream themed game called Drizzle when she was only eight years old. She was stuck at home during the pandemic and created a colorful game. Her father invested $50,000 to have the game professionally designed and until recently was keeping the games stored in their garage.
The Wall Street Journal got a hold of the story and spread the word. Also, Percy went to a major toy fair in Chicago to promote her game. She has even recently won a Young Innovator of the Year award!
With the recent publicity about her game, the Arcement family is bustling with orders. More than 500 games have been sold and the orders keep coming! Neighbors have even been helping keep up with the orders by assembling boxes and packing the games.
Percy is the CEO of her company, and her cat Fitz also has a role.
Percy has been in meetings with game publishers including Hasbro, Mattel, and Disney.
