On Sunday, August 20th, in Auburn, Washington, a very hilarious race took place. It was called The T-Rex World Championship Races,” and took place at Emerald Downs which is a horse racing track outside of Seattle.
More than 200 people participated in the race and all donned an inflatable Tyrannosaurus Rex Dinosaur costume. It was a 100 yard dash on the track and it did not disappoint.
The ending was a photo finish with three of the competitors on the finish line at the same time. After the officials reviewed the race, it was determined that Ocean Kim of Hawaii finished just a little bit ahead of the rest.
The funniest part about watching it is that the T-Rex costumes are so awkward to wear that several competitors trip or roll around the track as they try to mix speed with a bulky costume.
