Self-Improvement Can Influence Those around us in a Positive Way

We all have varying degrees of influence on others.  Whether it’s within our circle of family, friends, co-workers, or memberships we participate in, relationships have influence.  One of the unique ways that we can actually improve others and have a positive impact on them is to focus on improving ourselves.

The better we become, the more we can inspire others to emulate our conduct and listen to any advice we may give.  When considered, people can be influenced by a set standard.

Think about the popularity of influencers on social media.  For some people, they gravitate towards those who are able to achieve what others want to achieve.  One may “follow” that person in order to emulate them and learn from what they do and say.

Even if we don’t have a social media site for intentionally influencing others, it happens through the examples we set when we cultivate ourselves, achieve our goals, and exhibit success.  That evidence through observation sets a standard that others will look to for direction and encouragement.  That is how true leadership and education works.

Followers are naturally drawn to the high standards of conduct and understanding that can only be raised by individuals genuinely dedicated to self-improvement.
